Switz 
Švýcarsko je všeobecně velice pokrokovou zemí a mnohdy je vzorem pro ostatní státy, a to nejen ve smyslu známé preciznosti, ale zejména přístupem k životnímu prostředí. Není divu, že užití plynu v dopravě je zde velice rozšířené. Natankovat plyn je možné u více než 110 plnících stanic, se standartní plnící koncovkou typu NGV-1. Běžně je stojan CNG součástí klasické čerpací stanice. V provozu je zde cca 6.000 vozidel.
Již od poloviny 90. let je do rozvodů zemního plynu přidán bioplyn. Díky využítí tohoto obnovitelného zdroje energie, je tento pohon využíván zejména v oblastech s požadavky na nízkou úrovneň splodin. Zemní plyn je stejně tak jako u nás osvobozen od spotřební daně a provoz tak vyjde mnohem levněji než na benzin nebo naftu.
